"They quietly cut his minutes."
A service schedule can change the substance of an IEP even when the document looks unchanged. Compare the frequency, duration, location, group size, and provider written in the IEP with what is actually happening. Book a $29 overview with Stephanie Wynn if you need help building that comparison.
Track More Than the Total Minutes
Document:
- Scheduled and delivered dates.
- Individual versus group delivery.
- Location and provider role.
- Cancelled sessions and the reason given.
- Any notice or IEP amendment connected to the change.
Stephanie Wynn's Recommendation
Ask for the service log and compare it with the IEP service grid. If sessions were missed, ask how the team will determine educational impact and an appropriate remedy.
Compensatory Services Are Individualized
Missed services can support a request for compensatory education, but the remedy should address the educational loss. Describe the skill, access, or progress affected rather than relying only on an hour total.
A dated log gives the team something concrete to resolve. Reserve your private $29 overview before requesting corrective action.
